LLH Speak is a language exchange space built for people who actually want to talk to someone, part of Language Learners Hub alongside LLH Tutor.
Most language learning happens alone: an app, a streak, a lesson. It works up to a point, then it stops, because a language is not really a set of exercises, it's a way of talking to people. LLH Speak exists to close that gap. It matches you with someone who speaks the language you're learning and wants to learn yours, gives you a reason to start talking with conversation prompts, and gets out of the way once you're actually speaking.
You don't need a second account or a second password. If you already use LLH Tutor, you already have what you need to start on LLH Speak.
LLH Speak is in private beta. We're starting small and staying close to the first people who join, rather than opening the doors to everyone at once. That means slower growth, but it also means we can actually listen: fixing what's confusing, building what's missing, and keeping the community small enough that reports and feedback get a real response, not a form letter.
LLH Speak connects you with people you don't know yet. That only works if it feels safe from the first message: reporting and blocking are built in, new accounts have message limits, images can't be shared until you've both exchanged a message first, and our moderation team reviews reports. Our Community Guidelines cover the full picture.
Real fluency begins when practice starts feeling like a conversation.
