Culture notes

Textbooks teach formal language. The people you practise with can tell you how a phrase actually lands, whether it's polite, sarcastic, regional or outdated, and what's really said day to day where they live.

Why this matters

Textbook Spanish is formal and stilted. Native speakers know regional slang, what's considered impolite, which phrases nobody actually uses anymore. Asking "is this how you really say this?" to a native speaker beats a grammar rule every time. Real fluency needs cultural context, not just rules.

How it works

There's no separate tool for this. It happens naturally in conversation with a native speaker who lives the culture, which is exactly the point.
